Fife Acute Hospitals NHS Trust was created on 1 April 1999 following the re-organisation of NHS Trusts in Scotland. It was formed by the amalgamation of Kirkcaldy Acute Hospitals NHS Trust and Queen Margaret Hospital NHS Trust.
The re-organisation of the Trusts in Scotland abolished the internal market replacing it with partnership and co-operation. Everything we do is about a patient-centered health service achieved through a close working relationship with our NHS partner organisations in Fife.
