We currently have six clinical commissioning groups (or CCGs) in Surrey but with some practices still to sign up, this number may change.
For now, NHS Surrey remains responsible and accountable to local people and to Parliament.
Clinical commissioning groups won’t take on extra responsibilities until they are ready, capable and confident of doing so. Together, our focus now is on delivering the change we need to get Surrey’s healthcare to a sustainable position. That way when we hand over our commissioning responsibilities the healthcare system will be in a better place.
With March 2013 less than a year away, we still have a huge amount of work to do to get Surrey ready for this major transition.
To keep us on track, we’ve set up a Transition Assurance Committee, which is a committee of the NHS Surrey Board. It will oversee the delivery of key milestones and will regularly report progress.
NHS Surrey presently has no vacancies listed in our database.
