An exciting opportunity has arisen at our North Central London Division for a Band 7 Physiotherapist  to join a well established Unplanned Care Therapy Team based in Edgware Community Hospital, Barnet, North London. Main duties of the job

We are looking for a Physiotherapist (PT) with Community Therapy experience, enthusiasm and innovative working practice. The role  would suit  someone looking to develop their Community working with a supportive and friendly team. Excellent communication (Written and Verbal)  skills are required for multidisciplinary working, problem solving, and collaborative working with Community partners/Acute discharge teams.

The successful post holders should have a Bsc/Msc in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC membership. They should be highly organised with skills to complete specialised PT assessments in patient’s homes, using evidence based tools and approaches to identify physical, cognitive and psychosocial impairments and their impact on functional (ADL) tasks. Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  To be professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients under your care.

   

  To accept clinical responsibility for a designated caseload of patients and to organise this efficiently and effectively about clinical priorities and use of time. To ensure a high standard of clinical care for the patients under your management and provide support to junior staff and assistants to do likewise.

   

  To plan and prioritise own patient workload to undertake the comprehensive assessment of patients, including those with a complex presentation, using investigative, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills.

Essential criteria
  • • Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy
  • • Current HCPC registration
  • • Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio
  • • Attendance at specialist short courses or equivalent CPD activities within the specialist areas of Adult Rehabilitation, Neurology, Orthopaedics, Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Older People Rehabilitation
  • • Member of Professional Body
