Based within the Deakin Centre we provide clinical skills training for undergraduate medical students from year 4-6, studying at Cambridge University.
Using simulation and open access for students to practise independently, we now have the opportunity to advertise this role within the clinical skills unit next to a technician colleague.
This role is going to help us ensure we provide the correct level of stock and equipment, safe environment and positive planning ahead to really allow students to develop their skills towards becoming confident and safe at practical skills. While we monitor usage and demand.
We are a small team excited to expand as our students numbers have increased.
The role is part of the wider picture to provide the best educational experience for medical students. In doing so we are supporting our future generation of doctors to become safe, kind and excellent.
Our team really believe our purpose is in ensuring we improve and help maintain standards of care for our patients. Each one of us has a part to play in this case.

Responsible for the stocktaking, requisitioning of equipment associated with clinical skills teaching and examinations for undergraduate medical students studying at Cambridge University.

- Degree in AV/computer science and information technology
Experience

- Managing stock control
- Experience with procurement
- Ability to use excel/word
- Experience working interdepartmentally

- Previous experience as a technician
- Experience working within simulation/clinical skills unit
Knowledge

- Experience in managing and maintaining/predicting stock levels and intake
