Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

You will be responsible for supporting and promotion of effective and efficient management of the clinical care environment and the delivery of care, also for ensuring effective communication is maintained at all times, whilst providing support for junior staff.

You will deputise for the ward manager in their absence and will provide clinical leadership and supervision of nursing staff supporting a multi-disciplinary and collaborative approach to nursing care.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people’s own homes and via virtual consultations.

  • Awareness and understanding of the Mental Health Act and its administration and application in practice
  • Knowledge of local and national priorities.
  • Understanding of the application of MCA and DOLs
  • Dementia experience or desire to work with individuals with Dementia
  • Understanding of the NMC Code of Conduct and implications for practice

Education, Qualifications and Training

  • Post registration/ graduate qualification relevant to field of practice
  • RN Level 1 – Learning Disability or Mental Health with experience at band 5
  • Ability to deal sensitively and effectively with challenging individuals or situations
  • Ability to work within a team and understand how teams work
