Job overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to join our dynamic and enthusiastic team of cardiac physiologist at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust. The hospital is set in the heart of Torbay – the English Riviera; an area of outstanding beauty with unrivalled access to the beautiful Devon coastline and picturesque hills of Dartmoor, offering an array of leisure activities.

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven individual to come join our wonderful team of passionate, and innovative physiologists. The team of Cardiac Physiologists cover a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive procedures including cardiac monitoring analysis, exercise tolerance testing, pacemaker and complex device follow-up clinics.

We have an expanding cardiac device home monitoring service, and we were one of the first centres to run a physiologist-led LINQ implanting service

We would be interested to hear from qualified physiologists with an interest in CRM and Cath Lab.

As a department we aim to support education and encourage our physiologists to specialise in CRM by gaining higher level qualifications such as IBHRE or BHRS.

Main duties of the job

Ideally you will be experienced in working unsupervised, in the Cardiac Catheter Lab for both diagnostic procedures and Complex PCI. You should also have experience providing physiologist support for device implants and assisting with both Brady and Complex device follow up clinics and remote clinics.

You should also be able to work independently on Non-Invasive diagnostics such as Ambulatory monitoring analysis, and exercise tolerance testing.

There will also be the opportunity to get involved with training of both Level 6 degree Apprentice Physiologists and other junior members of staff.
