Decontamination Technician

Job overview

We are looking to recruit Decontamination Technician Assistants. Endoscopy services operate across the whole of NUH, at City Hospital Campus, Queens Medical Centre Campus and Nottingham Treatment Centre. It is a requirement that all staff members will work across the three sites when required. Vacancies are full time but part time will be considered dependant on service needs. Shifts will be allocated on an internal basis. Main duties of the job

This fast paced and high patient turn over area requires passionate and forward thinking staff. You must be committed to high standards of infection prevention and control and will need to demonstrate the ability to work as a team member as well as under your own initiative. Having excellent communication skills, along with the ability to think independently and prioritise tasks is a must. You will be providing specialist skills, supporting the clinical teams with a wide variety of endoscopic equipment.

You will work closely with a Multidisciplinary Team who care for, and support patients through the service. Specialist Skills training and supervision will be provided to all successful candidates, enabling them to become proficient in decontamination of flexible endoscopes. Experience in Decontamination services is desirable but not essential; however training and supervision will be given to the successful applicant enabling them to gain skills within the area.
