Operational Lead Crisis Liaison and Intensive Home Treatment Team

A 12 month secondment opportunity has arisen to lead and manage the day-to day operations and performance of the CAMHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment team and CAMHS Liaison team based at Hopewood, Kings Mill Hospital and the Queens Medical Centre.

The post-holder will oversee management supervision and support the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high quality and safe patient -centred care by developing relationships with key internal and external partners. With a clinical background and professional registration such as NMC, Social Work England or HCPC , the post-holder will work in close collaboration with the CAMHS CRHT Clinical Lead, the Liaison Clinical Lead and Consultants. As an effective leader, you will communicate, motivate and inspire others to deliver excellent standards of care.

You will develop innovative new ways of working with other providers to enhance improved working practices and relationships across healthcare and social care to meet strategic objectives, organisational requirements and evidence- based practice developments to meet better mental health outcomes for children and young people. You will also be a key part of the wider CAMHS leadership team. A key aspect of this role is to develop and implement performance systems and processes and to ensure that performance can be monitored against key performance indicators.

Seek out and develop relationships with key internal and external partners to represent the service’s interests and to facilitate the exchange of information.
To provide informed managerial advice to the service.
To work with the CAMHS Leadership Team to develop and implement performance management systems and processes and to ensure that performance can be monitored against key performance indicators of the Trust and Directorate.
Demonstrate a high degree of professional skill, competency and knowledge in the area of mental health.
Use analytical thinking, decision making and leadership skills to ensure a high quality patient experience
Develop effective partnership working with the Clinical Lead and Administrative Lead to ensure clear and well communicated expectations of others.

  • Extensive post registration experience, including experience of working as Senior clinician in mental health services within CAMHS or Mental Health services.
  • Experience of working with young people or adults across a crisis resolution and home treatment pathway.

Knowledge

  • Excellent knowledge of and experience of working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health services with young people.
