Trosolwg o'r swydd

Are you an ambitious Registered Professional? Would you like to lead and shape the future of our Tier 4 CAMHS inpatient unit?

Then we want to hear from you!

This is an excellent development opportunity for a professional registered person with proven leadership and management experience within mental health services. Your passion for delivering exceptional inpatient care, combined with your expertise, will make you a invaluable asset to our team.

This role will offer you a challenging but rewarding environment, involvement in Inpatient Quality Transformation and to be a part of a broader Mental Health Inpatient service.

We are a general adolescent unit offering mental health care for adolescents with serious mental health difficulties, who require hospital admission. Based in Bridgwater. We provide a highly specialist service providing assessment, treatment and management of young people aged between 13 and 18 whose mental health problems cannot be managed in the community because of their complexity and risk.

Somerset is proud of its positive reputation on delivering innovative pathways which promote young people being cared for close to home.

Wessex House participate in the Royal College of Psychiatry QNIC accreditation programme and the CAMHS community service was rated as outstanding by CQC this year.

As key leader, you'll have the exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the development of the system wide Eating Disorder pathway, including the delivery of a community Intensive Eating Disorders house. This will promote care in the community whilst having a clear pathway for admission to the ward where this is indicated.

Your responsibilities will include co-ordinating, delivering and maintaining a high standard of day to day clinical care for all patients on the ward, providing support to our broader Inpatient and Urgent Care services, and offering strong clinical leadership to our ward team.

Additionally, you'll maintain positive relationships with CAMHS community services and the wider South West Provider Collaborative. Plus you'll play a part in the Trust's operational on-call mental health roster.

Gweithio i'n sefydliad

As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, continuing professional development and regular informal conversations around career progression, annual recognition awards to celebrate and recognise our colleagues achievements throughout the year and not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

We work hard to make sure that inclusion is part of everything we do. We know that true inclusion means we’re able to provide the best care for our patients and provide a fulfilling career for all our colleagues.

The benefits of working in Somerset include the idyllic countryside, with our areas of outstanding beauty and stunning coastlines. You will get to enjoy these perks whilst still only being a stone’s throw away from bustling city centres like Bristol, Bath and Exeter and only two hours away from London – there is truly something for everyone!

There are excellent educational facilities in the area and, when compared to other regions, house prices are reasonable.

We have six active and impactful colleague networks. These networks provide a safe space for colleagues to share their experiences and learn from one another, but also influence change across our trust:
