Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides high quality patient care to a population of approximately 600,000 people, including those living in Andover, Basingstoke, Eastleigh and Winchester as well as surrounding towns and villages across Hampshire and parts of west Berkshire. The Trust’s two hospitals in Basingstoke and Winchester provide a full range of planned and emergency services while the Andover War Memorial Hospital provides community and hospital services.
The Trust employs around 5,000 staff and has a turnover of over £300 million a year. The Trust is managed by its Board of Directors. As an NHS Foundation Trust the Trust is also directly accountable to its 18,500 public and staff members through our governors. A new Council of Governors was elected in January 2012 to represent the interests of members and to influence the future plans of the Foundation Trust.
The Trust is committed to ensuring that high quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do. We look to employ and develop caring, compassionate and committed staff who live the Trust’s values of always doing their best for our patients, of being accountable and responsible, of having respect for all and integrity in everything they do and of always encouraging and challenging each other to do the best possible work.
