Leaders are increasingly aware of the vital role occupational health plays in supporting employers to plan and implement an effective framework of employee health and wellbeing.  People are our most important resource, and engagement with staff about their health has become business critical like never before. The aim of OHW is to deliver a safe, effective, quality occupational health service to the Police Service of Northern Ireland, and all officers and staff, to demonstrate we care, we listen, we act.

We offer multidisciplinary clinical occupational health and wellbeing services including:

  • Medical
  • Nursing
  • Physiotherapy
  • Mental Health
  • Physical Health & Education

The PSNI have developed a Health and Wellbeing Strategy to deliver on its obligations to maintain the health and wellbeing (physical, psychological and social) of all staff and in recognition of the links between health, wellbeing, performance and discretionary effort.

The Health and Wellbeing Strategy is a core component of the Police Service NI People Strategy which is a key element of the PSNI Corporate Plan.
