Since 1991 CHSW’s story is one of phenomenal growth, such that we are now one of the largest, and certainly most geographically extensive, children’s hospice organisations in England. We have developed a highly successful record of fundraising and high-quality service delivery to children and families across the South West region, which stretches from South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire in the East to the Isles of Scilly in the far West. Our belief is that the best way we can do this is to wrap our care around families who have received this unspeakable diagnosis. We journey with all family members from the point of diagnosis until the death of their child and into bereavement for as long as the family need us. 

 

Our ethos is to ensure everyone (Trustees, all staff and volunteers) places children and families at the centre of the organisation. In order to achieve this, everyone is expected to promote a strong, caring community environment, characterised by a culture of sensitivity, trust, consideration and respect for others.
