Demand for appointments remains extremely high and the reality is that we could fill the appointments multiple times over. While we aim to see all patients when they wish to be seen, this can not always be possible.

There is no perfect solution to meet demand.  We need to ensure we deal with the more pressing matters whilst balancing routine requests which still need to be dealt with.  Therefore, in order to help with accessing our services we would request your help with the following:

  • A pharmacy can help with many minor ailments under the 'common ailments scheme',
  • When all appointments have gone you can call 111 if you feel you need help today,
  • For more routine matters, use econsult to contact us.  This allows you to submit your enquiry in your own words directly to one of our GPs.  The usual turnaround time is by close of business the following working day.  Econsults are particularly useful when a photograph helps to show the issue, for example a rash, mole or acne and can help the GP decide whether to ask you to come to the surgery for a face-to-face consultation.

Please allow 72 hours for repeat medication to be processed if requesting yourself.  Alternatively, use a pharmacy to order on your behalf or the My Health Online application (set up required, please speak to a member of admin for more information).
