Senior Nutrition Support Dietitian (Appropriate Prescribing Support)

Band 6

Central London Community Healthcare (CLCH) is one of the largest community healthcare organisations in London and Hertfordshire, providing our services to diverse communities/boroughs in 11 London Boroughs - Barnet, Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham, Harrow, Hounslow, Kensington and Chelsea, Merton, Richmond, Wandsworth, Westminster - and Hertfordshire.

We are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission and are ranked among top NHS employers. Community healthcare is our focus and our passion. We champion the role of community health professionals to make sure our patients get great care closer to home.

Job overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Dietitian to join our community Nutrition and Dietetics Team covering complex nutrition support, enteral feeding and appropriate prescribing support. This is a full time and permanent role.

The community dietetic service includes a successful and proactive team of dietitians and dietetic assistant practitioners covering the three inner boroughs of London (Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham). We are passionate and strive to bring high quality evidence based dietetic practice to the people who use our services. We are a supportive and innovative team that continuously seeks to adapt and improve the service we provide as well as a strong focus on the health and well-being of our staff.

Our team purpose statement is ‘We are committed to enabling our patients to achieve their nutrition and hydration goals through providing evidence-based dietetic care’

This post is ideal for someone enthusiastic and self-motivated, with an interest in developing their knowledge and skills in complex nutrition support (including enteral feeding) and prescribing support across a diverse and vibrant area in central London.

Interview date: 10th May 2024

Main duties of the job

The post will involve a combination of face-to-face clinics, virtual clinics, home visits and care home visits in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Westminster, and Kensington & Chelsea. We also aim to build on our relationships with our local primary care networks and other community staff and so the role will involve working closely with these key stakeholders (including training and education and multi-disciplinary team meeting contribution).

You will be supported by the Appropriate Prescribing Lead Dietitian.

The whole team meets face-to-face at least once a month and virtually once a week to support communication, team building and staff well-being. The team has access to office space across the boroughs as well as the option of some working from home.
