The Trust is currently under-represented in terms of staff from black and minority ethnic backgrounds. We encourage applications from all backgrounds to improve the diversity of our workforce and to better reflect the communities we serve to provide the right care, at the right time, in the right place; every time.

The Trust reserves the right to close this vacancy early if a large number of applications are received.

We also offers a range of excellent benefits including a pension scheme, up to 33 days Annual leave (exclusive of bank holidays), training and development opportunities, access to NHS discounts, Car Lease Scheme, Cycle to Work Scheme, NHS Mortgages and Childcare Vouchers.

Trosolwg o'r swydd

The Trust currently has a Procurement Officer/Apprentice post available within the existing Procurement team; this is a truly challenging and rare opportunity for the right individual to provide a high-quality level of support and administration for all the day-to-day Purchasing requirements of the Trust.

The successful candidate will be required to provide procurement advice to internal customers within the Trust, communicating effectively with staff at all levels; they must be confident and tolerant of dealing with queries from internal customers by phone, email or face to face.

The candidate will play a key role in the effective delivery of a portfolio of projects across a wide range of categories both clinical and non-clinical, using best practice tools and techniques to achieve contract compliance, cost reductions and savings whilst ensuring continuous improvement in quality.

As an apprentice you will receive 80% of the top of Band 4 (currently £24,169 per annum) for the first 12 months. Due to an uplift in the national living wage from 1st April 2025 the Trust have taken the decision to temporarily increase the rates of pay for the banding associated to this role. This will be reviewed once we receive notification of the annual pay uplift review from NHS Employers for 2025/26.
