The Yorkshire Centre for Eating Disorders is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse to join ward 6 inpatient service, which is part of the CONNECT service.
We would be able to offer a 6 month secondment/fixed term role to cover a career break if preferred.
The 14 bedded ward is available to individuals who are resident in the Leeds, Wakefield, Kirklees, Calderdale and Bradford areas.
The service offers inpatient assessment and treatment for patients with a diagnosed eating disorder working closely with the CONNECT Community team to provide seamless care.
Our aims are to manage significant physical risk and to manage this effectively. To offer a variety of evidence based, psychological therapies and practical interventions. This will be in the form of individual sessions, and group work, all offered and led by all members of the MDT.
Our care is person centred, and care planning individualised to meet patient need.
You will be responsible for supporting patients to follow their journey which is recovery focused for the time that they are in treatment on the ward.
The post offers you an opportunity to work closely with families and offer input into the services carers group and support group. We are keen to develop practical workshops for inpatients and their families, in addition increase service user and carer involvement.
