Trosolwg o'r swydd

Work with operational, clinical lead and professional lead colleagues to lead the strategic direction and delivery of psychological therapy and psychologically informed interventions delivered across Leeds Community & Wellbeing Services. 

As a core member of the senior leadership team, work collaboratively and collectively to ensure effective clinical governance of Local, Regional and National programmes relevant to the service user population. 

Provide professional leadership and line management to lead (8b) psychology staff within three secondary care mental health localities, Family Therapy service, and the Rough Sleepers Mental health team. 

Work alongside professional leads to support and embed Psychological Professions workforce including new roles. Advise on strategy and prioritisation of training and development opportunities for the Psychological Professions, and where appropriate, the wider workforce. With support from professional lead where required, to oversee recruitment of psychological professionals within the service line.

Oversee the governance of Psychological Professionals delivering psychological therapies and psychological interventions, including the development and implementation of recording and reporting systems on activity and outcome data.

Using data, to explore and prioritise opportunities for innovation and growth and addressing health inequalities. 

Deliver accredited level therapy and clinical supervision in one or more of the Psychological Therapies for Serious Mental Health Problems (PT- SMHP) modalities. 

Work in partnership with primary and voluntary care services and other partners including experts by experience to support the delivery of trauma informed community service offer.  

The post holder will continue to build on the significant cultural and strategic change delivered through the Transformation of Mental Health Services. LYPFT work in partnership with primary care and voluntary care services to provide a trauma informed, integrated community approach.  There are opportunities for innovation, growth and addressing health inequalities in the city through the development of our psychological workforce, embedding new roles, training and development opportunities.

The Leeds and York Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (LYPFT) is the main provider of Mental Health and Learning Disability services in Leeds. We also provide specialist inpatient services in York and some highly specialised services across the country. To oversee the delivery of psychological care across the Community & Wellbeing service line.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate level training in clinical psychology as accredited by the BPS (or equivalent for those who trained prior to 1996) with HCPC registration OR Doctorate level training in Counselling Psychology with HCPC registration OR Masters or above in a psychotherapy, and accredited as a psychotherapist with UKCP, or BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council) OR Postgraduate Diploma qualification in Cognitive and/or Behavioural Psychotherapy AND Accreditation with BABCP as a CBT therapist AND with either a prior core profession or via KSA route

Experience

  • Experience of teaching, training and supervision of other staff: clinical and professional/managerial
  • Additional post qualification training and experience relevant to the service and job role outlined in the job summary including clinical supervisor training.
  • Experience in taking a lead on projects/services within health care systems

Knowledge
