We are now looking for a Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist to join us on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week for a fixed term until March 2026, with the hope to extend thereafter, subject to funding being available.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting the independence and wellbeing of older adults, using your expertise to lead innovative falls prevention programmes that make a meaningful difference in the lives of participants.

The Role

As a Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist, you will oversee the delivery of falls prevention programmes for older adults across North West London, while also leading group-based clinical exercise sessions in the community.

In this dual role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the falls prevention service, including venue bookings, staff co-ordination, participant referrals, and outcome monitoring.

You will lead and supervise a small team, provide clinical guidance to instructors, and work closely with partners and stakeholders to promote and expand programme reach and impact.

Additionally, you will:

- Deliver engaging health talks and demonstration sessions to increase participation
- Assess participants’ exercise capacity and adapt programmes to support progression
- Contribute to training, community outreach, and service development

About You

To be considered as a Senior Clinical Exercise Specialist, you will need:

- Experience working with older adults and/or frailer older adults in a variety of community settings
- Experience leading group exercise classes and 1:1 exercise sessions
- Experience working with people with a variety of medical conditions
- Experience working in a clinical and/or rehabilitation setting
- Experience co-ordinating a programme and/or project
- Experience supporting a small team
- To be a Postural Stability Instructor (or be willing to undertake training)
- A degree level qualification in a related field such as Sports/Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Biokinetics, Sports Therapy or equivalent knowledge within anatomy, physiology and exercise or equivalent experience

The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
