Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Fleet Compliance Office within Fleet Operations.

Staff training, workplace reviews and maintenance of the training matrix together with coaching are a daily part of the role requirements.

Financial awareness when working with third party service providers is yet another element aligned with this key position.

Main duties of the job

The role offers wide and varied challenges relative to the requirements of the Trust and daily Fleet operational demands, providing support for the regional management and teams that make up a large, dedicated workforce, split across a 7-day shift pattern, ensuring our workshops continue to safely operate 365 days of the year.

The role of Fleet Compliance Officer reports to the Fleet Engineer Operations, and an elevated level of communication, business awareness and report writing skill sets will see daily interactions with Fleet Operations, NWAS Management and staff, Trade Union leads, Dealer networks, Vehicle Manufacturers, Third Party suppliers and other key stakeholders.

This is a pivotal role within NWAS Fleet Operations, and the successful applicant will need to successfully support a focused team in delivering the daily needs and exacting requirements in one of the UKs largest ambulance Trusts.

Working for our organisation

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust provides 24 hour, 365 days a year accident and emergency services to those in need of emergency medical treatment and transport.

Our highly skilled staff provide life-saving care to patients in the community and take people to hospital or a place of care if needed.
We also provide non-emergency patient transport services for those patients who require non-emergency transport to and from hospital and who are unable to travel unaided because of their medical condition or clinical need.

Alongside the other emergency services, we also work to ensure the safety of the public and treatment of patients in the event of a major incident.

We also deliver the NHS 111 service in the North West. NHS 111 replaced NHS Direct in 2013. This service was introduced to make it easier for people to access local NHS healthcare services in England. It provides non-emergency medical help fast, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
