Job overview
We are offering a Full time contract to join our catering team as a catering porter.
As the kitchen porter you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the catering department, assisting in the basic preparation of meals for the patients as part of a team.
As a centre of excellence, you will have to demonstrate a good spirit of team work and excellent communication skills with staff of every level.
You should be able to organise and prioritise your workload against a high level of throughput.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible to create a safe, clean and healthy catering service for patients, staff and visitors in accordance with local and national health and safety and food hygiene legislation, the Catering Department Food Safety and Hygiene Manual and PLACE requirements.
You will ensure compliance with set local operating procedures and accurate documentation of daily tasks which might vary on a day to day basis.
Work closely with the chefs to assist in carrying out of daily tasks including food preparation and in other areas of the kitchen which will include the staff restaurant.
