n opportunity has arisen within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust for a physiotherapist to join the band 5 cross-site rotation scheme. Potential for substantive and fixed term contract opportunities available.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 Physiotherapist to join our 6 monthly rotation scheme. Our band 5 rotation scheme includes rotations at the three main hospital sites, St Mary’s Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital and Hammersmith Hospital across a wide variety of areas, including Stroke, Respiratory, Community, Medicine, Neurosurgery, Musculoskeletal, Paediatrics, Neuro Rehabilitation & Orthopaedics. Band 5’s will be expected to complete rotations in the core areas of Physiotherapy; Medicine and Respiratory.
You would be joining a supportive, well established team committed to providing a high standard of clinical care and modernising services to meet the needs of patients, referrers and commissioners. The department actively supports Continuing Professional Development and runs an established appraisal system and a comprehensive in-service training programme.The successful applicants should be HCPC registered or have submitted their registration forms already.

- To plan and deliver a patient centred therapy service to patients in hospital and in the community.
- To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of patients in your care.
- To routinely provide advice, education and support to patients and their carers as part of the therapy process. To adopt a patient centred treatment approach in order to support meaningful participation in life roles.
- To demonstrate effective communication skills when attending and contributing to ward rounds, meetings and case conferences relating to caseload.
- To be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records in line with the legal requirements, trust guidelines and professional standard of practice.
- To collect, collate and reports statistical information in line with departmental and trust policy.
- To develop clinical and teaching skills via continuous personal and professional development (CPPD), including maintenance of an up to date CPPD portfolio.

- Wide range of experience in training /clinical placements
- Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of therapy intervention
- Liaison with professional colleagues, carers and relatives in the hospital and community
- Experience in a clinical setting of application of professional standards and codes of conduct.
- Experience of using evidence based practice.
