Job overview

This is an exciting and challenging time to be working within diagnostics with a variety of national funding streams in place to enact transformation to streamline and enhance patient pathways.

The post holder will support the diagnostics clinical networks develop and deliver transformational programmes and projects in line with the ICS’s priorities for diagnostic services.  The role is crucial in providing administration and planning support for the diagnostics clinical networks.
This role is very much an ICS focused role, liaising with a wide range of staff within the sector acute providers, the ICB diagnostics team and NHSE and other sectors as needed.  

This is a new post funded from NHS England monies transferred to the ICB and then Imperial and ringfenced for Diagnostics Transformation.  Whilst the role is funded through time-limited transformation monies the case for funding it beyond that will be examined further, however no commitment can be made at this time.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high quality project, service, initiative and administrative support including information and analysis.
  • Enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to improve, inform and support a portfolio of projects, services, and initiatives.
  • Engage and work collaboratively with internal and external colleagues and senior stakeholders.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining key documents (using full suite of Microsoft Office tools) including presentations, programme risk and issue logs, risk reports, progress reports, dependency logs, action logs.
  • Attend programme and team meetings, supporting forward agenda planning, coordinating contributions to papers, preparing papers and presentations, taking high-level minutes, tracking actions and version control.
  • Organise and participate in relevant internal and external working groups/projects, services, and initiatives to provide, information and analytical advice to strategic leads.
