We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Imaging Assistant to join our team at the Wembley Community Diagnostic Centre, supporting our busy MRI and CT services as part of a new permanent extended hours model. You will be supporting a 7-day service, with routine shifts extending until midnight.
This role offers the unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge remote working technology in MRI, helping us deliver high-quality, efficient diagnostic care to a diverse local population.
The successful applicant will work closely with radiographers, consultants, and patients, supporting the smooth and effective delivery of imaging services. You will play a vital role in enhancing patient experience and service efficiency. A flexible approach is essential as the role includes weekend and late evening shifts.
You will also be expected to carry out a wide range of duties including:
•Assisting clinical staff during diagnostic procedures
•Patient care and preparation
•Administrative and clerical tasks
•Stock and room management, including cleaning and equipment checks

Main duties of the job
As an Imaging Assistant you will be an essential part of ensuring smooth service delivery. This will include:
1) To assist and support the professional staff within the Imaging Directorate
2) To maintain a high standard of patient care by carrying out assigned tasks
3) To provide an efficient and reliable system for throughput of patients ensuring that the activity and needs of the unit are achieved
4) To overseeing training of junior imaging assistants
Your assigned tasks will broadly speaking be under four categories:
1) Clinical support
2) Administrative and Clerical Support
3) Stock take and Stock control support
4) Cleaning and infection control precautions support
