Consultant Medical Oncologist

A refreshing new healthcare career in an island community.

We have an exciting opportunity for GMC Specialist Registered Consultant in Medical Oncology to join the group.

About the Medical Specialist Group

We are a partnership of currently 55 Consultants, which, under contract, provides specialist medical services to the Guernsey Health Service with a health care model that is different and separate from the NHS. As well as providing contract care the MSG consultants also provide private care which is remunerated separately, but is carried out in both MSG and PEH facilities as there are no other private facilities on island. MSG administration and secretarial staff also support a consultant private practice. Tertiary care services are supplied by hospitals on the UK Mainland, mainly Southampton University Hospital, usually through contracted services.

The Princess Elizabeth Hospital is a modern hospital with approximately 145 beds and strong clinical links to UK mainland centres, particularly Southampton General Hospital and Kings College Hospital. Our vision is to be internationally recognised as a centre of excellence for clinical care and loved by the Guernseycommunity.

Our purpose is to use our expertise and compassion to provide outstanding patient-centred services that improve the health of the community we serve.

Our consultants and their families have also benefited from the excellent schools and the wide variety of activities on offer on the island.
