Equivalent to NHS AFC: Band 6 (Developing Band 5 / 6 would be considered)

Pay: £44,485.00-£52,521.00 per year

 

The role is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, we are open to flexible working arrangements which can be discussed at interview.

We are an established independent team of Speech and Language Therapists, with a clinic based in Orpington, Kent. We support children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication. We are excited to be able to offer a new role within our growing team for an enthusiastic, adaptable and committed individual to join our team.

The post holder will offer support both in our clinic base and in local schools and Early Years settings. You should have experience and a passion for supporting children with Autism and language delay / disorder.

The post holder will be responsible for the independent management of a clinical caseload, as well as working in a range of school and nursery settings with children who have an EHC Plan. You will be supported to work independently with support and supervision from more senior colleagues. Our paediatric client group have a range of speech, language and communication needs. You be responsible for conducting 1:1 assessments, and implementing interventions in pairs, groups, and individually. You will have the opportunity to be involved in devising and delivering training to parents and settings. As a small team there are opportunities to be involved in service improvement projects. We pride ourselves in offering lots of support, supervision and CPD for staff, and run a service that is highly valued by families and settings.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

·       A degree in Speech and Language Therapy

·       HCPC Registered

·       Member of RCSLT

·       Experience in delivering assessments, working with staff and writing reports to a high standard

·       Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.

·       Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.

·       A passion for helping others achieve their communication goals.
