The community transformation programme in Leeds is inviting applications for a full time, permanent, Clinical Associate Psychologist. Community mental health services have recently undergone transformation to support the national priority of increasing access to psychologically informed care and reducing inequality. 

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic Clinical Associate Psychologist with a can-do attitude, to become part of the therapy team in Working Age Adult Community Services with opportunities to work across Primary, Secondary & Specialist services. The role will be varied with a strong emphasis on group work models including DBT, CNT & CFT. Previous knowledge of and or experience of facilitating groups will be an advantage. The post is hybrid with a combination of home working and direct clinical work across several locations within Leeds.

The roles will be varied but will include:

  • Providing psychological assessment and psychological interventions using 1-1 & group work models under the supervision of a qualified, HPCP registered Clinical Psychologist
  • Participating in the evaluation of care and treatment within the service
  • Assisting in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and /or research projects
  • Assisting in teaching and training
  • Working with the multi-disciplinary team
  • Developing materials and resources
  • Project work

Qualifications

  • An approved qualification in psychology conferring eligibility for graduate basis for registration with the British Psychological Society, (Class 2.2 or higher)
  • Completed BPS [British Psychological Society] accredited CAP apprenticeship training programme including EPA to IFA standards

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build rapport, communicate empathically and sensitively in a manner appropriate to the context and recipient.

Experience

  • Relevant supervised experience of delivering psychological assessments and interventions alongside adults with complex mental health difficulties.
