MHCAS Clinician
Band 6
West London NHS Trust provides a full range of mental health, community and physical healthcare services for children, adults and older people living in the London boroughs of Ealing, Hammersmith & Fulham and Hounslow.
We also provide some specialist services that are commissioned regionally, such as our medium secure services; and nationally, such as the Cassel Hospital for people with complex and severe personality disorder and our high secure services at Broadmoor Hospital.

Lakeside Mental Health Unit, Hounslow
We’re looking for skilled and motivated clinicians (Nurse/OT/Social Worker) to join our new Mental Health Crisis Assessment Service (MHCAS) at Lakeside.
As a Band 6 MHCAS Clinician, you’ll play a key role in delivering rapid assessments, crisis interventions, and risk management for people in mental health crisis. You’ll make autonomous decisions on admission and discharge, coordinate shifts, and support junior staff — ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care.

- Relevant post registration experience.
- Evidence of post registration further development.

- Qualification in psychosocial interventions in mental health.
- KUF training.
Experience

- Post qualification experience to include appropriate experience within an acute mental health care setting and / or significant experience within community, crisis care, or liaison psychiatry
- Experience of working with other professions within a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working independently.
- To understand and have experience of risk management
- Experience of receiving supervision
