Clinical Team Lead (Advanced Mental Health Practitioner)

We are seeking a specialist, dynamic and extensively experienced Band 7 Clinical Lead (Advanced Mental Health Practitioner) to join our Community Mental Health Service. The postholder will lead and deliver high-quality, evidence-based assessments and interventions for adults with complex mental health needs in a secondary care, community setting. This includes managing a complex caseload, providing clinical & professional leadership, supervision, line management duties, and contributing to service development, quality improvements and transformation initiatives.
The postholder will join a full complement of MDT professions, as a highly motivated and enthusiastic member of the team that supports a positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent holistic care.
You will have regular access to supervision, support, networking and development opportunities.
This position is full time, permanent, working onsite or in the community five days a week at Resource House, Wokingham.

Clinical
- Deliver advanced assessments, interventions and outcome measures, using evidence-based, client-centred approaches for adults with complex mental health needs and diverse co-morbidities.
Leadership and Supervision
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to nurses, support workers, apprentices, and students.
Service Development and Governance
- Lead in service evaluation, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
· To hold a caseload of complex clients, offering a NICE concordant package of care, and in accordance with the named worker approach.
· To lead on one of the NICE Concordant Interventions, including delivery and using a Quality Improvement Approach to ensure targets are met within this area.
· To support the development of the role as part of the One Team approach.
· To triage, assess and engage clients who meet the service criteria for ongoing support, and allocate to a named worker.
· To work closely with place-based teams in discussion and support with referrals into the team

The “must haves” for this role:
- Degree/Diploma in Mental Health Nursing
- NMC Registration
- Mental Health – Recovery/rehabilitation approaches
- Significant post-qualification experience in mental health
- Experience of working in community settings
- Supervision of staff or students
- Experience in leadership

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Key skills in literacy, numeracy and IT
