Are you passionate about delivering high-quality care and eager to develop your skills across subspecialties like glaucoma, retina, and oculoplastics? The Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated Specialty Doctor in Ophthalmology to join our dynamic Surgery Division for a fixed term period of 12 month (from November 2025).

You’ll play a key role in managing patients across general and specialist clinics, supervising junior staff, and contributing to teaching and audit programmes.  It is expected that the post-holder will join the current non-residential on-call rota.

The appointee will be required to work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an ophthalmology service of the highest quality, meeting government-mandated waiting list targets and the Trust’s quality standards.

The appointee will also be expected to take a full and active role in the training of junior doctors, nursing staff, and ancillary staff, both within the department and externally. Active participation in delivering first-class clinical governance is also required.
