Our dedicated Lecturer (Teaching) team are subject specialists focused on delivering student education, which is active, social, applied, and inclusive within our vibrant and varied education environment.

The Role

The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and post graduate courses for professionals working in health and care settings inclusive of nursing, midwifery, occupational therapy, dietetics, paramedic science, operating department practitioners, diagnostic radiography, podiatry, clinical psychology and public health. 

As a Lecturer (Teaching) in Post Registration MSc Nursing Team you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.

Duties include:

•    Supporting with the design and delivery of our Post Registration MSc Nursing Curriculum
•    Leading and teaching on modules and courses at HE levels 4-7 in relevant academic subject areas including curation, adaptation and creation of learning materials, assessment and feedback tasks in alignment with Group and School quality assurance processes
•    Providing a coaching and mentorship approach to students studying on the programme
•    Upholding high standards of academic integrity in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.

Qualifications Required

•    NMC Registration in Nursing (Current and Active) is essential for this role
•    A teaching qualification or be willingness to undertake a teaching qualification if not already qualified is essential for this role.
•    A Masters Degree in an appropriate/relevant professional subject area is an essential requirement for this role.
•    A PhD would be advantageous

You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching and learning at higher education levels 4-7 in Nursing with high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with our reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.  

You will have experience of supporting learning within your role and of providing high quality academic and pastoral support to professionals.

You will be enthusiastic and self-motivated, experienced in supporting, enhancing and engaging in an ‘active learning’ pedagogy with evidence in proactively supporting student success.
As a global education provider, you will hold experience and awareness of learner’s cultural differences and expectations with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
