Job overview

A new opportunity has become available for an experienced technician in Aseptic Services. The successful applicant will become part of a busy team working within a licensed aseptic unit offering a high quality service to both internal and external customers. The unit has facilities for providing cytotoxic chemotherapy, monoclonal antibodies and gene therapy.

We require an experienced technician to assist with the provision of training of production tasks to staff including pharmacists, technicians, assistants and trainees. They must ensure that induction, training and competency checks are planned, delivered and documented in line with departmental procedures and protocols.

The successful applicant will also be responsible for undertaking production tasks and supervising the workload within the aseptic suite so they should be organised and able to prioritise work effectively.  Accuracy, attention to detail and excellent communication skills are also essential requirements for this post.

These responsibilities require the applicant to have evident experience of aseptic dispensing and manufacture. There is a structured training programme within aseptic services where you are encouraged to develop to your full potential.
