Band 6

Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated dietitian to join our team of 45 dietitians, dietetic assistants and administration at the Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. This is a 0.8wte Band 6 post.

The post-holder will work within our established H&N oncology dietetic teams, providing support to both inpatients and outpatients undergoing cancer treatment at St Luke’s Cancer Centre. The primary focus of this role will be to support the H&N Oncology dietetic team but there will be an opportunity to support and gain experience with the other specialty teams in the department. You will have a very varied caseload and will work within several MDTs. You will be expected to provide high quality nutritional care both in face-to-face and telephone clinics.

You will join a forward thinking dietetic team which undertakes the training of student dietitians, and also focuses on research and audit in its areas of activity to promote clinical effectiveness in patient care. You will be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, with the chance to shadow and learn from specialist oncology dietitians.

If you are an HCPC registered dietitian with experience and a strong interest in oncology, looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a friendly and supportive team, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job
