Early Intervention Psychosis Mental Health Practitioner - Keyworker

Our Vision is to provide the best mental health, learning disability, autism, community, and physical health services for the populations we serve.

As an integrated Trust, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust (LSCFT) delivers a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
  • Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
  • Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.

The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. The organisation offers opportunities for medics, mental health, general nurses, children’s nurses, allied health professionals, psychology, administration and clerical staff, apprentices and volunteers, as well as those specialising in learning disabilities and community physical health services.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to join a 
well-established and supportive multi-disciplinary team.  

The Bay Early Intervention Service (EIS) specialises in working with individuals aged 14 to 65 at risk of, or currently experiencing, first episode psychosis.   Our team provides a range of specialist interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Family Interventions within a hub and spoke model of care.  There are four multi-disciplinary early intervention service teams covering various settings within the bay area. 

The Lancashire Early and South Cumbria Intervention Service is based within the Children and Families Network of Lancashire and South Cumbria Care NHS Foundation Trust.  We enjoy close working links with a range of community and inpatient services for children and adults.

We place a strong emphasis on professional and clinical supervision in order to support and develop individuals as part of our commitment to maintain our focus on delivering the highest quality clinical service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part The Bay EIS, we have one permanent full time post for a nurse, social worker or occupational therapist to join the team. The posts will provide an opportunity for development for those who are interested in working within the Early Intervention Service and to gain valuable experience working in a community setting. 

The post of Key Worker will work as part of the The Bay EIS. 

The post is being offered on a permanent basis.

Minimum professional qualifications:  RMN / OT / Dip SW
Salary Scale: Band 6
