Join the University of Southampton Auditory Implant Service (USAIS) as a Rehabilitationist and make a meaningful impact in the lives of cochlear implant and auditory implant users. You will have a unique opportunity to further your career by using your clinical skills within a University setting, allowing you to access up-to-date research in this field.

As a Rehabilitationist, you will play a vital role in helping patients adapt to and optimise their auditory implants. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you’ll provide specialist rehabilitation, guiding patients through their hearing journey.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Delivering tailored rehabilitation programmes for cochlear and bone conduction implant recipients
- Assessing patient progress and adjusting therapy strategies accordingly
- Providing education and support to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborating with audiologists, rehabilitationists, and other professionals to enhance outcomes
- Contributing to research and teaching opportunities within the university setting

What We’re Looking For

- Experience in rehabilitation for individuals with auditory implants or hearing loss (training will also be provided)
- HCPC, RCSLT, or equivalent professional registration
- Strong communication skills and a patient-focused approach
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
