Imaging Assistant

Band 3 £24,937 – £26,598 pro rata if part-time

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week across seven days, Permanent position with full and part time hours available, all MKUH roles will be considered for flexible working

Are you looking for a new challenge in the new year? If so, why not consider becoming an Imaging Assistant withing the Imaging department at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

It is an exciting time to join the Trust as a new scanning centre is due to open in the Spring 2026 and there are two Community Diagnostic Centres at Lloyds Court and Whitehouse Park.

Your role will involve prioritising patient care by transporting them safely to and from Imaging and caring for them during their time in the various modalities in Imaging, such as Ultrasound, CT and MRI.

There will also be housekeeping duties, and some administrative tasks. We will also invest in your own personal development, with a period of induction, receiving training in venepuncture and cannulation and completion of the care certificate. As you will be working across all three sites driving is essential.

To assist Radiologists, Radiographers, Sonographers, Assistant Practitioners and Clerical staff undertake a wide variety of tasks throughout the department, as part of the multidisciplinary team, to ensure service efficiency, whilst maintaining high standards of patient-centred care.

Maintain knowledge and understanding of the range of examinations undertaken within the Imaging Department so that appropriate support and care can be given.
