- Primary and secondary mental health care for children and adults, including specialist inpatient child and adolescent mental health provision, perinatal mental health, and forensic services with low and medium secure care.
- Specialist mental health inpatient care for individuals with learning disabilities, alongside specialist community support for children and adults with learning disabilities and autism, including intensive support.
- Extensive community physical health and well-being services for children and adults, covering prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and long-term condition management.
The Trust was first established in 2002 and employs approximately 7,500 staff who provide care from more than 400 sites. Would you like to be part of a service which is innovative, forward-thinking and committed to enabling people who are experiencing eating disorders to recover and discover their potential?
We are seeking to appoint 1 band 6 Specialist Eating Disorder Practitioner, with caring, compassionate nature, who are innovative, creative, flexible and highly motivated. Primarily you will undertake specialist assessments and therapeutic work and monitor physical health care for people presenting with eating disorders across West Lancashire.
Main duties of the job
You should be an excellent communicator and team player, with the successful applicant joining a dynamic multi-disciplinary team of professionals working across Lancashire, based in Ormskirk District General Hospital.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- First level qualification, RMN/RGN/RNC/RNDL or equivalent such as Qualified Social Worker or occupational therapy
- Information technology skills sufficient to the undertaking of the post.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- An ability to think systemically and holistically.
- Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based needs led assessments, of highly complex and co-morbid presentations of children, young people, their families and carers.
- Demonstrable Knowledge and skills in evidence based therapeutic interventions relevant to the needs of this client group.
Experience
Essential criteria
- 2 years Post Qualifying Experience in a related field.
- Evidence of an ability to effectively manage own workload and able to work autonomously.
- Working within a team and /or multi-agency arenas.
