Are you an experienced Clinical Practitioner passionate about working in Urgent Care or Walk in Services? Opportunities have arisen for Emergency Nurses Practitioners across our Central London Urgent Care/ Walk in Services.
As a highly valued member of our team, the quality of care we provide starts with you. We pride ourselves on our ACP/ENP’s being up to date with the latest evidenced-based practices as well as being supportive of our staff in their professional development.
Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd
- To provide high quality evidence-based care to patients attending with injuries and undifferentiated health problems. The post holder will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner delivering care to our patients.
- Utilising expert diagnostic skills and clinical reasoning to provide autonomous, unscheduled care for patients presenting with acute undifferentiated conditions (most commonly minor injuries and ailments although some patients attending may present with complex health needs and / or acute on chronic conditions).
- The post holder will deliver care in collaboration with Emergency services, other health care professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies.
- To work in association with colleagues, including doctors and trainee ACPs, in defining standards of care and practice aimed at maintaining, developing or improving quality.
- To work in collaboration with our other CLCH walk in centres/UCCs, including occasional cross cover to other sites.
- To work with the senior staff in the operational management and the organisational development of the service.
- Work shifts within the service during the operating hours (Currently 8am-8pm, but noting that this could be
subject to change dependent on commissioning requirements)
Prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.

- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Registered Health Professional (physio, paramedic) with HCPC.
- Evidence of continued professional development

- Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level in an Advanced Clinical Practitioner program or willingness to work towards an MSc in Advanced Practice
- Independent Prescriber (or on pathway to complete)
- Qualification in prehospital care or community care
- Qualification in teaching or practice-based learning
- University accredited Minor injuries Module
- Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification
- University accredited paediatric advanced assessment module
Experience

- Proven experience of utilising expert diagnostic and clinical skills to provide autonomous, unscheduled medical care and management of patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
- Proven experience in assessing, managing and treating minor injuries and minor illnesses.
- Experience of effectively working in collaboration, negotiating and liaising across organisational boundaries.
- Experience in monitoring clinical standards.
- Proven ability to prioritise and manage own workload with minimal supervision.
- Experience caring for patients of all age ranges
- Minimum of primary of five years in either emergency/unscheduled care or a primary care environment

Skills and Knowledge

- Specialist knowledge in clinical reasoning, history taking, physical examination, diagnostic skills and prescribing/treatment
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of anatomy and physiology of body systems.
- Clinical knowledge across a range of long-term conditions.
- Knowledge of current NHS organizational structures and policy initiatives.
- Knowledge of recent developments in unscheduled care.
- Knowledge of monitoring service outcome measures
- Knowledge of adult and children's safeguarding procedures.
- Knowledge of Personal Development Planning.
- Knowledge of current health care policy and legislation and relevance to the delivery of healthcare services
- Detailed knowledge of Primary Health Care and collaborative working with other care providers, e.g. social care and voluntary services
- Knowledge of the audit process and able to implement in practice
- Knowledge of evidence based practice and able to implement in practice
- Knowledge of clinical governance processes, assessing and managing risk
- Knowledge of clinical supervision
