Part time Receptionist – two days per week (covering seven day service)
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly, supportive team working in Urgent and Emergency Care. The Urgent Treatment Centre is a friendly, exciting place to work with ongoing new developments and opportunities. We are a community based unit working closely with our parent site at Royal Surrey County hospital in Guildford.
We are looking for Receptionists to work on our friendly reception desk in the Urgent Treatment Centre. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of reception duties including greeting and booking in patients attending the department, managing telephone calls and supporting our busy team of clinical practitioners. You will also act as a focal point of communication between Patients, Ambulance Crews and Medical / Clinical staff.
The successful candidates will have a friendly and professional attitude, good IT and organisational skills and be able to accurately complete / input data. The successful candidate will also need to be able to deal with difficult and stressful situations with courtesy and empathy.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
