We are seeking 2 enthusiastic Consultant Dermatologist to join our Dermatology Team. These are fixed term 10 PA post initially for 12 months. We also welcome applications from candidates wishing to work less than full time      

The successful candidates will join an established team of 21 Consultants. There is support from 1 Associate Specialist, 4 Specialty doctors and specialist dermatology nurses including 2 skin cancer specialist nurses and 2 paediatric specialist dermatology nurses.

The department also has 2 SPRs, 2 clinical fellows and 1 VTS trainee. Services available include day case surgery, paediatric dermatology, phototherapy, photodynamic therapy, patch testing and iontophoresis.

Specialist clinics include joint Leg Ulcer, Vulval and Male Genital Dermatoses, hair and skin of colour. We have an outreach Plastic Surgery service from the Royal Free Hospital.

The post-holders will work with colleagues to support and develop Dermatology services for the local population.

You will be based across at no more than 2 hospital sites within the trust which include Watford General, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans City Hospitals.

The main duties of the post will be general dermatology and skin cancer clinics, minor surgical sessions, teledermatology sessions and attendance at our skin cancer MDT meetings.
