As part of our services across Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS), we are excited to be able to implement Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner roles across the Primary Care Networks to support GPs with mental health and wellbeing support for patients at a local level.
These are new roles designated under the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme for Primary Care (ARRS). The roles will provide an opportunity for better joint working across primary care and adult secondary care mental health systems and will make it easier for patients to obtain the help they need.
In the North East many of our APP practitioners are undertaking their training to transition from an APP to an MHWP and we would welcome applications from MHWPs in training as well as qualified practitioners.
This is an exciting role for someone who is proactive and passionate about innovation and providing a high-quality holistic approach to the care of people who have been identified as in need of mental health support in a primary care setting.
