Competitive starting salary range from £38,781 up to £44,093 (dependent on experience) with the potential to progress. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.

The Role

As Lecturer (Teaching) in Physiotherapy you will undertake teaching and course co-ordination with focus on further developing new and innovative academic practice and learning opportunities working in collaboration with our partners. You will work part of the course team supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional programs including apprenticeship routes ensuring learners have an effective learning experience.
 
Based within the AHP Physiotherapy you will work with academic colleagues to enrich learning and teaching experience to ensure relevant aspects of research, enterprise and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.  
 
Duties include:

  • Contributing to the delivery of BSc and MSc provision including module leadership.
  • Partnership working with external partners and stakeholders including NHS Trusts and independent providers.

Qualifications Required

  • Master’s degree in appropriate subject or Honours Degree with appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.
  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
  • Teaching qualification or acceptance of the requirement to acquire one.
  • Active membership of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is desirable.

Our Successful Candidate

You will bring substantial clinical experience and specialist expertise in neuro physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation, enabling you to deliver high quality teaching, mentorship, and academic leadership.
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching and learning at higher education levels 4-7 in Physiotherapy either in higher education or within a clinical environment. 
 
You can demonstrate high standards of teaching, learning and student engagement consistent with reputation and track record as a high-quality provider of teaching and learning.
 
As global education provider, you will hold experience and awareness of learner’s cultural differences and expectations with ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.
