RCN Officer

The role

As an officer you’ll use your positive attitude, your knowledge of and your ability to work with a Senior RCN Officer and the wider team to assist them in the provision of services for members, activists and branches within Wales. This will include advice and representation on employment matters for individuals and groups of members.

It's a job full of possibilities as you could get involved in anything from managing your own casework involving providing support and advice to members on employment relation matters to providing supervision and mentorship for RCN Representatives and involvement in member engagement requiring attendance at member workplaces to discuss RCN services and engage with members on any concerns they may have within the workplace. We'll look to you to gather intelligence and campaign on behalf of the RCN for the benefits of RCN members in line with the RCN position. It's a great way to build your knowledge of our work and develop your potential.

The person

As well as exceptional customer service, to join us you’ll need an in-depth knowledge of health and social care issues that impact on nurses and health care support workers and knowledge of best practice in relation to employment practices, equality, diversity and inclusion.

To succeed at the Royal College of Nursing all you need to do is think bigger, better and brighter. And with an attitude like that, anything’s possible.
