EDI Project Officer

This role will be based on the university campus with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner.  We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Are you interested in supporting efforts to increase Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) across the University of Leeds Clinical Psychology training programme? Do you take a flexible approach to your work and thrive on working in a busy team?

Leeds has a longstanding and highly regarded doctoral training programme in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy). We are a close knit, friendly and supportive team, with excellent links with clinical psychology colleagues in West Yorkshire, and academic colleagues in the Institute for Health Sciences.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in clinical psychology training is a national and local priority, and this post is based in the new Inclusion team on the programme.

We are looking for an EDI Project officer to work as part of our Inclusion Team. As part of this role, you would support a range of EDI related projects and activities. This includes our regional mentoring scheme for aspiring Clinical Psychologists from the Global Majority, as well as a number of research and training activities.

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with excellent communication skills who can demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to provide project support for our EDI initiatives.

We welcome and encourage applications from all candidates. For this role we would particularly welcome applications from Global Majority candidates as this group is underrepresented in the Profession and within our course team. The law permits positive action in recruitment under section 159 of the Equality Act 2010, however candidates will always be selected based on merit and ability.

What we offer in return

26 days holiday plus approx.16 Bank Holidays/days that the University is closed by custom (including Christmas) – That’s 42 days a year!

Generous pension scheme options plus life assurance

Health and Wellbeing: Discounted staff membership options at The Edge, our state-of-the-art Campus gym, with a pool, sauna, climbing wall, cycle circuit, and sports halls.

Personal Development: Access to courses run by our Organisational Development & Professional Learning team, and self-development courses including languages, Creative Writing, Wellbeing Therapies and much more.

Access to on-site childcare, shopping discounts and travel schemes are also available.

And much more!

Salary Requirements of the Skilled Worker Visa Route
