Person specification

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Four years full time postgraduate training or its equivalent (gained on a part-time or flexible basis) at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee in a relevant specialty or shall have equivalent experience and competencies
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a community mental health team Experience of working in an inpatient setting

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Good medical and psychiatric knowledge with particular reference to General Adult Psychiatry
Desirable criteria
  • Section 12 approved or willingness to apply for this

Skills/Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills Good history taking and assessment skills
Desirable criteria
  • Familiarity with RIO electronic notes system
