Job overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to come and join us at Cedar we are a diabetes and Endocrinology unit based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

We run diabetes and Endocrinology clinics in this busy department we are seeking someone who is looking for a new challenge, can work autonomously and show initiative. We are planning exciting new clinics, which the HCA team will be running independently around existing clinics

Main duties of the job

The ideal candidate will be organised time efficient and keen to learn new skills, central to the diabetes clinic will be downloading BG meters and pumps to provide up to the minute data. Taking routine observations is a requirement and phlebotomy skills would be a real bonus however if you do not take bloods a willingness to learn this skill is vital.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

The post holder will carry out observations take clinical measurements and record them accurately. There will be a small amount of administration work to ensure notes are accurately updated The post holder will need to understand how the different clinics operate and in the absence of the senior HCA the post holder will ensure flow through clinic. The post holder will be supported by the Senior HCA and the Senior DSN
