Speech & Language Therapist

Band 6

Trosolwg o'r swydd

Would you like to progress your clinical skills and professional career in paediatrics?  Do you have a special interest in working with children with Developmental Language Disorder? Would you like to increase your skill base as part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team?

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our school age team, primarily covering Winchcombe Language Resource in West Berkshire.

Within this post you will have the opportunity to work as part of an experienced team of therapists, having independence and autonomy to manage your own caseload.  There will be dedicated time and opportunities to shadow therapists in various settings, attend training sessions and develop your knowledge and skills within the wider school age therapy team and develop specialist skills relating to working with Developmental Language Disorder.

As part of a well-established language resource attached to a mainstream school, you will be working with education staff to support the speech and language needs of children with DLD through joint planning and delivery within the resource base as well as direct speech and language therapy.  You will also be able to offer second opinion visits to children attending mainstream schools in the area and support mainstream and early years therapists with case discussions.

We are looking for someone with a real passion for seeing children and young people reach their potential.
