Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Practitioner (Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker or Psychologist) to join the MAPPA, Victims and Veterans (MVV) Team for 22.5 hours per week. The post is based within Secure Services and operates across Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

The role offers an opportunity to influence practice across LSCFT, provide specialist consultation, contribute to service development, and work collaboratively with a wide range of partner agencies. The post combines specialist consultation, complex risk management support, training, formulation, and multi-agency partnership working across the MVV portfolio.

The MAPPA, Victims and Veterans (MVV) Team is a well-established multidisciplinary team of psychologically informed practitioners providing specialist support across three interconnected areas of practice: MAPPA, Victim Services and Veterans Services. The team adopts a trauma-informed approach and works to enhance public protection, improve outcomes and strengthen partnership working across services.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will work across 3 to 4 days per week, including Mondays. The team is committed to delivering high-quality support with professionalism, compassion and respect. The post holder will provide specialist advice and consultation to staff regarding care pathways, risk assessment and risk management for individuals receiving services from LSCFT, often working alongside partner agencies.

We are seeking a motivated practitioner with experience of complex risk management, multi-agency working and trauma-informed practice who is keen to make a positive impact across services. This is a varied and rewarding role within a supportive specialist team, offering opportunities to influence practice, develop expertise and contribute to service improvement across the Trust.
