Job overview

To be an effective member of a multidisciplinary School Nurse Team that promote the health and wellbeing of children in a designated caseload. To provide and organise a comprehensive high level, efficient, accurate and prompt administrative service to the School Nursing Team and assist in the smooth running of the service. The post holder deals with highly sensitive and confidential issues relating to issues affecting the clients and their families.

As a member of the Administration Team, a flexible approach to the post is essential to enable prioritising the different workloads and duties.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to carry out duties with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity. Make sound decisions and judgements using initiative and level of authority as agreed with Line Manager.

Knowledge and understanding of the structure, policies, management and operational procedures within the Administration Office and for the Health Board as required, in dealing with internal and external enquiries in a competent and confident manner.
