THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT  UNTIL 31/07/2026 FOR AN ADMINISTRATION MANAGER TO SUPPORT THE ALL AGES MENTAL HEALTH AND LEARNING DISABILITIES DIGITAL PROJECT.

If so, the project is looking for a fixed-term Business Support Manager to join a dynamic team, specifically the All-Ages Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Digital Solution projectWorking across BCU you will be responsible for administrative tasks to support the change journey within the project. 

Main duties of the job

 
  • Provide operational and management support to the administration team across all services involved in the All Ages MHLD Digital Solution Project. 
  • Oversee and manage Welsh Government targets related to Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Children’s Services; monitor progress and provide weekly updates. 
  • Lead administrative, clerical, and secretarial staff in adopting new digital working methods across the project’s scope. 
  • Identify and implement improved ways of working to support strategic and operational goals. 
  • Produce routine and ad hoc reports to monitor quality indicators and track progress toward divisional objectives. 
  • Work closely with colleagues across the division and Health Board to address service issues through joint approaches.
  • Operate independently in day-to-day team management, with minimal supervision, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Essential criteria
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Experience of managing staff and budgets
  • Ability to manage projects at local or regional level
  • Specialist knowledge of ophthalmic service administration.
  • Advanced skills in relevant IT packages (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access)
  • Ability to travel to various sites
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of health service management
  • Welsh speaker/writer

Qualifications and Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Degree level education or equivalent experience.
  • Post Graduation Qualifications to Diploma level or above or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of recent professional/personal development/education
