An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and highly organised individual to join our team in Bangor. 

The post holder will be responsible for providing professional, efficient, accurate and prompt administrative & clerical support to the Surgical Team.

 

Main duties of the job

High levels of customer service and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to use your own initiative to solve problems as they arise.

The post holder will possess excellent time management skills, be well organised and have the ability to prioritise workload demands to meet deadlines, whilst producing work to the highest standards.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of general education/(GCSE maths and English at grade C) and above or equivalent NVQ level 3 or equivalent knowledge and experience or willing to work towards L2 RSA/OCR or equivalent experience
Desirable criteria
  • IT related qualification( CLAIT plus or ECDL) NVQ Customer Service L2 L2 Medical terminology Statutory and Mandatory training as per Health Board policy

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Knowledge of a range of administrative processes.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in office environment. Experience of working within the NHS

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing. Excellent Customer Service skills Flexible and adaptable to changing service demands. Ability to meet deadlines. Good organisational skills
Desirable criteria
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft office applications. Experience of using patient administration systems Experience of organising meetings/activity
